Job Description
Responsible for operating all of the equipment in the machining department. Incumbents are considered top of their field by being able to successfully troubleshoot all equipment and use their expertise to solve problems and eliminate scrap, rework, and downtime. Should be actively involved in Continuous Improvement within the area to promote safety, quality, throughout.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurate and safe machine operation
- Operate all machinery in a safe manner
- Must be able to run product at desired rate
- Should be actively involved in Continuous Improvement within the area to promote safety, quality throughout and the and the addition of any new equipment
- Inspect finished parts for gauge thickness, defects, and proper fit
- Other duties as assigned
Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of physical properties
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Intermediate ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours a day
- Must be able to read, follow detailed instructions
- Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes
- Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures – detect defects
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to Train, coordinate, communicate effectively with all departments
- Able to troubleshoot and manipulate program.
Education / Training Required
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
- Required OSHA safety training
- 0-1 years of previous experience or equivalent knowledge

Pay Range: $17 - $18 per hour
