
Associate Vice President, Solution Architecture (Kuala Lumpur)
Job Description
Job Purpose
Support the development and execution of strategies for constructing and managing Edgenta NXT’s Solution Architecture to support overall Edgenta IT of the Future goals. The AVP, Solution Architecture will assist in leading, designing, and building the architectural vision for Edgenta NXT’s platform, ensuring it is built for scalability, interoperability, and long-term enterprise readiness.
Responsibilities
- Define, document, and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices across the platform stack, ensuring consistency and quality are maintained with scalability, security, cost optimisation factors considered as the solution and engineering as well as product scope grow.
- Assist the architectural evolution of Edgenta NXT’s Asseto platform, ensuring design decisions are modular, maintainable, and aligned with the platform’s long-term product roadmap.
- Own the design and governance of integration architecture enabling interoperability between Asseto and built environment systems, such as IoT, BMS, Video Analytics, and other systems, ensuring seamless and secure data exchange across client ecosystems.
- Establish and maintain API design standards, data exchange protocols, and integration patterns that support client needs while remaining extensible for future enterprise and ecosystem integrations.
- Leading the solution design process, collaborating with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, analyse the required infrastructure and solutions, and design robust and scalable solutions (be it cloud/on-prem if required) that meets needs and complies with security and local compliance regulation including the critical components are architected for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Serve as one of the key architectural interface between the Solution Architecture & Engineering, Product, Operations, and Client facing teams, ensuring architecture decisions are clearly communicated and practically grounded in delivery realities.
- Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with vendors and clients alike, managing deliverables, ensuring communications, and identifying and working together to address risks and mitigation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science , or related field.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Solution Architecture with exposure on designing and scaling cloud-native SaaS platforms on major cloud providers.
- Strong knowledge of integration architecture patterns, API design (REST, GraphQL, event-driven architecture), and middleware platforms, with experience integrating enterprise systems such as IoT, BMS, or ERP within complex ecosystems.
