Description

Are you passionate about cutting-edge manufacturing and ready to play a key role in elite motorsport performance? We are looking for a skilled and driven Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our team working on a late shift. As an AM Technician, you will support the department across a wide range of additive manufacturing activities, contributing directly to performance-critical programmes including wind tunnel and full-size car development. You will be part of a collaborative team striving for excellence at the very top level of motorsport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up and operate a wide range of polymer-based 3D printing technologies, including SLA, FDM, SLS and DLP, ensuring optimal machine performance and print quality at all times.
  • Perform machine calibrations, preventative maintenance and routine servicing in line with established schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain additive manufacturing equipment in a methodical, structured and highly organised manner, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
  • Efficiently post-process polymer models and full-size components, including cleaning, finishing, inspection and preparation for downstream use.
  • Monitor, manage and report stock levels of polymer materials, consumables and spare parts to support uninterrupted production.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across systems, workflows and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality and performance.
  • Execute production plans effectively to meet demanding and time-critical motorsport deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality, accuracy and reliability across all stages of the additive manufacturing process.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining clear and effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Provide flexible support across the department and assist with additional manufacturing or operational activities when required.
  • Remain calm and focused while working under pressure to meet tight production schedules and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean and organised working environment, ensuring full compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven hands-on experience programming, setting up and operating multiple polymer-based 3D printing technologies within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous experience within Formula One or a high-performance motorsport additive manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong practical experience in post-processing 3D printed components, with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes and dimensional accuracy.
  • Good understanding of machine calibration, preventative maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
  • A highly methodical and detail-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to precision and quality.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and positive in approach, with a willingness to support the wider team wherever required.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to learn new technologies, systems and processes quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm and professional approach.
  • Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and committed, with a willingness to work additional hours when required to support production demands.

Please note this role is working on a late shift: Monday to Friday 14:00 – 23:00.
