Scope Summary:
The Software Test Engineer III plays a vital role in ensuring that high quality products are delivered on time, within budget and meet CompTIA standards. This work involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing using playwright and typescript. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and log product issues based on execution of test cases and industry standard testing methodologies. Additionally, STE III will design and create test cases to ensure complete coverage of test plans while also maintaining and updating automated test scripts to ensure they remain accurate, relevant, and effective. While having excellent automation skills, the candidate will have excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills and willingness to participate in manual testing regularly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for identifying and investigating issues found during testing, and updating test cases based on discovered defects
Works closely with software developers and software test engineers to resolve issues
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing
Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents
Define Test Strategy and End to End Scenarios
Understands key daily reporting elements needed for stakeholders and partners
Participate on continuous improvement efforts within the QA organization & Research and evaluate new testing technologies and tools
Other relevant tasks, duties, or special projects as assigned

The ability to maintain work flow velocities and meet deadlines
Keeping to date with industry trends and emerging testing technologies

Skills and Qualifications:
Extensive experience in software development processes and QA methodologies
Experience developing automation scripts using Playwright, Typescript, or equivalent tools and technologies
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong experience in industry standard test management tools
Strong background testing in an Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience migrating or modernizing legacy automation frameworks(such as from Selenium) is highly desirable.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot or similar) to improve software testing, automation development, and engineering productivity.
Education and/or Experience:
Degree preferred but not required for the role
6+ years of direct experience in related field
