What you'll do
The Financial Analyst, Real Estate FP&A position will support forecasting, budgeting, planning and month-end related tasks for Real Estate operating expenses across 1700+ store locations and corporate offices. This role partners closely with Real Estate Construction and Asset Management teams to identify any strategic opportunities and risks within the Real Estate portfolio.
Deliver, design and maintain monthly financial reporting packages to internal stakeholders including Corporate Planning Group, Real Estate, accounting and other FP&A teams
Work closely with Real Estate and Accounting to identify OpEx variances, provide analysis, commentary, and identify risks and opportunities to support decision making
Partner closely with stakeholders to prepare P&L and Balance Sheet projections, forecasts, and budgets to ensure business assumptions are accurately reflected
Assist with the development of 3 year- Outlook Plan (AOP) by incorporating historical trends and other micro and macroeconomic factors
Develop, enhance, and maintain dynamic, complex financial models that enable efficient evaluation of projects and support both recurring and ad-hoc decision-making
Maintain and reconcile Corporate Real Estate projects on Planview to ensure spends are accurately forecasted and budgeted
Provide support for ad-hoc requests and special reporting requirements
Identify efficiencies and streamline planning and reporting processes
What you bring
University Degree in Accounting/Finance, or business-related discipline
Professional Accounting/Finance designation/MBA or working towards one is considered an asset (CPA- CMA, CA, CGA)
1-2 years of experience in an FP&A or related role, preferably in a corporate or retail environment
Experience or knowledge with IFRS16 is considered a strong asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders
Strong financial acumen, including modelling, business case development, and financial valuation
Attention to detail and a team player mentality, with an ability to effectively collaborate to deliver results
Critical thinking skills with desire to challenge the status quo, and a proven ability to “connect the dots” and tell a story
Expert working knowledge of Excel and advance working knowledge of other Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
Experience in Hyperion Financial Management, PeopleSoft, and Planview are considered an asset

Broadband Salary Range: $64,000 – 106,000.
Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $85,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
