Job Summary Training Specialist is responsible for managing both the strategy and operational delivery of both theoretical and practical training to new and existing Ground Operations employees at the Airport
As a subject matter expert for their designated client(s) and operational areas, the training specialist ensures that training programs are engaging, effective, and aligned with approved operating procedures, processes, and policies, meeting the quality standards set by Swissport and our clients
Your activities Deliver high-quality Swissport and client training programs, covering theory, practical training, buddy shifts, and competency-based assessments, ensuring a safe learning environment
Ensure compliance with WH&S Act, CASA, OTS regulations, and company policies
Promote safe manual handling practices and promptly report safety/security issues
Manage training records accurately (paper and electronic), conduct reviews, and track training hours diligently
Monitor participant performance, provide feedback, and document training issues as needed
Engage in professional development activities, maintain knowledge proficiency, and enhance the training experience
Review and continuous improvement of training functions, aligning with both clients and internal stakeholders
Identifying training gaps and developing training plans to ensure the operation can run effectively
Foster effective communication with Training Coordinators, managers, supervisors, stakeholders, and client representatives
Support operational compliance with training requirements and contribute to developing new training materials
Demonstrate leadership in safety, compliance, and learning, promoting a positive training environment
Your profile Extensive experience in an operational role preferrable within transport Strong understanding of WH&S responsibilities in a training environment
Accurate record-keeping skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications
Intermediate office administration skills
Previous experience in a training role Ability to develop others through coaching
Experience maintaining training records
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
