Commercial Property Underwriter I (12-month contract)

What you will do... Assessment and evaluation of risks within the commercial property portfolio. Work within defined limits of authority, consistently provide high quality underwriting decisions that support the achievement of Heartland financial targets in accordance with the Operational Plan. Review and transact renewals, endorsements, and cancellations within our commercial property portfolio Provide support to Senior Commercial Underwriters as needed in order to achieve service standards. Negotiate policy terms with brokers/agents. Proactively manage business development opportunities. Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.    What you will bring... 3 years of experience underwriting commercial property insurance risks. CIP and/or CRM or working towards is preferred. Exposure to agribusiness accounts is preferred.   The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $75,000. The salary for the successful candidate will be determined by various factors including but not limited to an individual’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills, along with internal equity, and market considerations.
