Heartland Farm Mutual Inc. became a legal entity, formed from the merger of North Waterloo Farmers Mutual and Oxford Mutual. These two parent companies brought together long-standing experience in serving Ontario’s insurance needs.

In August 2021, Heartland Farm Mutual amalgamated with The Kings Mutual Insurance Company of Berwick, Nova Scotia. The Kings Mutual Insurance Company has been fulfilling the needs of residential, commercial, and agricultural policyholders in Nova Scotia since 1904.
