Job Purpose
The Physical Therapist – Pilot supports ROMTech’s clinical pilot programs and IRB‑approved studies by delivering patient care, developing and refining clinical protocols, and collaborating with internal research teams and external healthcare partners. This role contributes to ROMTech’s innovation strategy by advancing evidence‑based rehabilitation models, improving patient outcomes, and demonstrating clinical value to physicians, hospitals, and health systems.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties

Develop, implement, and refine clinical protocols for ROMTech pilot programs and IRB‑approved studies.

Deliver physical therapy services to patients enrolled in pilot programs in accordance with study protocols and professional standards of care.

Collaborate with research and clinical teams to monitor outcomes, ensure data accuracy, and support study integrity.

Maintain strict compliance with IRB requirements, HIPAA regulations, and applicable clinical and ethical standards.

Represent ROMTech in meetings with physicians, hospital administrators, and executive leaders to communicate clinical value, study design, and outcomes.

Contribute clinical expertise to forward‑thinking initiatives supporting ROMTech’s clinician guided at‑home rehab model.
Other Functions

Brainstorm and recommend innovative clinical approaches, including potential billing code applications for pilot populations.

Support internal discussions related to emerging models of care, pilot expansion, or future research initiatives.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation protocols and patient outcomes tracking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present clinical concepts to physicians, executives, and multidisciplinary teams
Preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare billing codes and reimbursement processes
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in innovation and new care delivery models
Work Experience Requirements
Required
- 3–5 years of clinical physical therapy experience
Preferred
- Experience participating in research studies, pilot programs, or clinical innovation initiatives
Education Requirements
Preferred
- Degree in Physical Therapy or related field
License and Certification Requirements
Preferred
- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing
