Cloud Specialist II

Job Title: Cloud Specialist II

Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum Experience:

• At least five (5) years of experience in cloud computing, platforms, and technologies.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting Department of the Navy (DON) or Department of Defense (DoD) cloud migration efforts.

• Hands-on experience with major cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages to support cloud deployment and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide functional expertise to analyze, design, and implement cloud-based solutions.

• Assist in developing and executing cloud migration and application modernization strategies.

• Collaborate with system/application owners and cloud brokers to analyze, document, and codify functional requirements and technical specifications in support of cloud development efforts.

• Lead business case development to inform cloud migration decisions and implementation activities.

• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements in accordance with DoD and DON policies.

Certifications & Training:

• None required. (Relevant cloud certifications preferred.)

Security Clearance:

• Active Secret clearance required.
