Health Solutions Behavioral Healthcare Internship Program
Health Solutions is now accepting applications for a paid employee internship for the Current term. This opportunity is ideal for graduate students in the final year of an accredited Master’s program (such as Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Counseling Psychology) who are completing their Practicum or Internship and pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
This program is designed to provide advanced, supervised clinical experience that fulfills intensive academic requirements and prepares students for the realities of professional clinical practice.

Placement Focus: Advanced Psychotherapeutic Practice
Interns in this track will focus heavily on direct, one-on-one and group counseling, with duties including:
- Psychotherapy: Providing individual and group counseling to clients across the lifespan using evidence-based, theoretically grounded modalities (e.g., CBT, Person-Centered, Psychodynamic).
- Diagnostic Assessment: Conducting comprehensive clinical interviews, utilizing diagnostic tools, and formulating diagnoses using the DSM-5-TR.
- Treatment Planning: Developing measurable, objective-based treatment plans and maintaining clinical documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Professional Development: Engaging in clinical research review, case conferences, and professional ethics discussions.

- This is a paid employee position. You will receive an hourly wage for your supervised practice hours.
- Clinical Supervision: Receive dedicated, weekly supervision from a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or other qualified clinical supervisor (e.g., LCSW, Psychologist) that meets state board requirements for your post-graduate supervision plan.

What we’re looking For—The Must-Haves
- You must be enrolled in a CACREP-accredited Master's program in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related clinical field.
- You must be starting your final-year practicum or internship.
- You must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 to 24 hours per week for at least two consecutive semesters (one full academic year) to accrue the necessary total field hours (minimum 600 total hours required by most programs).
- Your academic program must have an approved affiliation agreement (MOU) with Health Solutions or be willing to complete one.
- You must have a copy of your program's internship handbook and be prepared to meet the minimum direct client contact hours required for your degree.
