
Lobby Attendant
Job Description
The Jefferson Hotel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lobby Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. This role helps maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public areas throughout the hotel, including the lobby, hallways, and restrooms, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
Responsibilities include routine cleaning, restocking supplies, and responding quickly to areas that need attention. The ideal candidate is proactive, guest-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment with a strong attention to detail.
Key Requirements
Availability: Must be available to work a flexible schedule between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift 40+ pounds when required.
Professionalism: Must maintain a pleasant, helpful demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.
Work Ethic: Must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all public spaces, including the lobby, hallways, and restrooms.
- Vacuum, mop, dust, and empty trash in assigned areas throughout the shift.
- Restock supplies in public restrooms and ensure they remain clean and well maintained.
- Monitor high-traffic areas and respond quickly to maintain a polished environment.
- Assist with maintaining hallways and other guest-facing areas as needed.
- Provide courteous assistance to guests when approached and help direct them when appropriate.
- Report maintenance concerns or safety issues to the appropriate department.
- Support the Housekeeping team with additional tasks and special cleaning projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with guests.
