Finance Intern
Location: BGC (Hybrid)
Department: Finance
Reports to: Finance Business Partner / Finance Director
Duration: 10–12 weeks
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Intern to support process improvement initiatives across Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Tax. This role provides hands-on exposure to core finance operations, with a focus on improving efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Intern will:
Support process improvement initiatives across AR, AP, and Tax functions
Assist in documenting and standardizing finance workflows and procedures
Identify inefficiencies and recommend process enhancements
Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
Assist in data validation and cleanup to improve data integrity
Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and schedules
Help prepare and maintain reports and trackers
Collaborate with team members on automation or simplification initiatives
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, you will:
Gain practical experience in finance operations (AR/AP/Tax)
Develop skills in process improvement and internal controls
Strengthen Excel and data analysis capabilities
Understand financial reconciliation and reporting processes
Contribute to real efficiency improvements within the Finance function
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in:
Business Administration
Accountancy
Finance, Economics, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proactive, curious, and willing to improve processes
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Experience with data analysis or process mapping
Exposure to Microsoft Visio or similar tools
Participation in student organizations or case competitions
