
Procurement Manager (DE/NL) & MRO Category Manager (EMEA)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced procurement professional for a dual-focus leadership role. You will serve as the strategic Non-Commodity Procurement Manager for ofi German (DE) and Dutch (NL) sites while simultaneously acting as the EMEA Category Manager for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations). This role is a critical bridge between local site needs and regional strategy, ensuring that MRO procurement is harmonized across EMEA while specific DE/NL operational requirements are met through close collaboration with other regional category leads.
Key Responsibilities
NCP Manager for DE & NL
- Primary Contact: Act as the dedicated Procurement Contact Person for the strategic suppliers for all German and Dutch sites
- Cross-Category Collaboration: Work closely with other Regional Category Managers (Packaging, Chemicals, Utilities, Services, etc.) for the DE/NL sites to ensure a cohesive procurement approach and seamless service delivery.
- Tail-End Strategy: Develop and execute a robust tail-end spend strategy for local plants to consolidate vendors and reduce administrative burden.
- Harmonization: Identify and implement harmonization opportunities across DE/NL sites for all procurement categories in collaboration with regional category managers.
2. MRO Category Management (EMEA)
- Regional Strategy: Develop and implement high-level MRO category strategies across all EMEA sites.
- Sourcing Excellence: Lead RFx projects (RFI, RFP, RFQ) and manage supplier relationships to ensure the highest quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Spend Analysis: Conduct deep-dive spend management analysis to identify savings, efficiency improvements, and innovation trends.
- Financial Alignment: Capture total cost reductions and savings; ensure full alignment with Finance and record all gains in the internal Cost Capital Transformation tool.
3. Stakeholder & Compliance Management
- Contract Management: Create contract agreements and manage all commercial conditions with suppliers
- Market: Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for innovation in MRO sourcing
- Global Alignment: Collaborate with country teams to align local strategies with regional and global objectives.
- Influence: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to influence and drive procurement decisions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Manage the complexities of sourcing across different jurisdictions, ensuring strict adherence to local regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years in procurement, with at least 5 years specifically focused on MRO Category Management.
- Education: Engineering degree is preferred; degrees in Supply Chain, Business, or related fields are also highly valued.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in SAP is required; experience with Coupa is a strong advantage.
- Strategic Sourcing: Proven experience in Low-Cost Country Sourcing (LCCS) and leading complex regional sourcing projects.
- Languages: Fluent English is required. Proficiency in German or Dutch is a significant asset.
