Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities

Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments.
Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble.
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
Cleans and lubricates parts.
Insures that safety procedures are observed.
Performs other duties as requested.

Must have worked in his/her job for at least 6 months.
Must have no 2nd step corrective actions.
Must currently be in a lower classification to be eligible to apply.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in maintenance mechanic classification is required.
Some standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
Must project a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees and the Company.
Incumbent may be required to work overtime as required to meet schedules.
Must comply with all environmental, quality and safety rules, practices and standards.
