Job Description
Summary: Applies gelcoat to the mold using an atomized spray gun process system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must possess the ability to use and understand air assisted gelcoat equipment.
- Ability to calibrate and apply gelcoat consistent with Cobalt quality.
- Read and understand work orders then apply gelcoat on parts based on production order specifications.
- Maintain gelcoat equipment by performing periodic and routine maintenance of equipment.
- Assist in manually moving molds in and out of the gelcoat booths.
- General housekeeping of area and equipment.
- Assists in changing out 55-gallon drums and 5-gallon pails of material at gel pumps.
- Must demonstrate the ability to make sound quality decisions independently.
- Other duties as required.

- Good knowledge and understanding of gelcoat processes as they relate to the nature of the Cobalt product and customer expectation
- Must be able to understand and execute top quality expectations
- Job requires standing and working in and around boat/molds throughout the entire day
- Must work efficiently and in the safest manner possible, following all safety regulations at all time
- Ability to read and understand uses of a mil gauge
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, and to effectively communicate with management and subordinates. The ability to communicate effectively is a key element to achieve success in this position.
Mathematical Skills
General math skills required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Typical 10-hour workdays, frequent overtime required.
Annual Pulmonary Function Testing – Medical Clearance to wear a Respirator
Annual Fit Testing – Testing of the Respirator to ensure it fits safety and securely.
