JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This position is for a high school teacher under contract with a district in Douglas, Dodge, Sarpy, or Washington counties to teach MCC Culinary Arts courses for dual credit at their home high school.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

• Deliver MCC course objectives in the high school dual credit classroom
• Ensure academic rigor aligns with on-campus expectations
• Participate in departmental course assessments
• Complete required curriculum training
• Maintain an MCC-aligned course syllabus
• Uphold professional and ethical standards 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate’s degree in field with 8 years full-time related experience in field, 4 of which must be in a management/professional level Culinary position and an
OR
• Associate’s degree in field with a Bachelor’s degree in any field and 4 years full-time related experience in field
OR
• Bachelor’s degree in field and 2 years full-time related experience in field at management level position
OR
Master’s degree in field and 2 years full-time related experience in field.
• Currently employed high school teacher who will be under contract with a local school district in Douglas, Dodge, Sarpy or Washington counties
