Aven Hospitality is seeking a Senior Sales Manager responsible for new business generation, with major brands/new logos as well as product sales to new prospects. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working in a demanding and challenging environment and with a proven track record in Sales and Executive Level customer engagement experience. Reporting to the regional General Manager, the selected candidate will drive business development and have accountability and ownership for New Sales in the assigned region.
Role And Responsibilities
Primarily Responsible for growth and revenue generation of new logos (hotel chains) to AH in the Japan nationwide regions and as directed beyond these territories.
Act as the primary commercial lead for all AH product “run rate” sales.
Focus on supporting the Head of Sales with APAC Strategy for business development.
Develop, grow and nurture new leads and feed the sales pipeline.
Working with all key internal stakeholders to facilitate successfully onboarding new hotel chains.
Leverage C level contacts to ensure new logo wins.
Inspire and deliver qualified consultative approach and technical experience to build long term growth in customer base.
Ensure Implementation and maintenance of an effective sales management/process approach.
Develop a trust advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
Understand customer’s objectives and business deeply, develop strategies for maximizing performance, and ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions, positional AH as an innovative player in the industry.
Monitor market ad competitor developments, develop insightful analysis of market trends and customer performance, and prepare and execute professional presentation to clients.
Maintain an accurate forecast of sales activity in the pipeline and regularly report key sales metrics to management, provide current and accurate revenue projections and pipeline forecasts to support business growth.
Monitor customer, market and competitor activity, provide feedback to management and recommend sales strategies.
Negotiate contracts following deal review process and ensuring margins and pricing are in-line with AH strategy
Coordinate within AH and customer to ensure obligations are met from both client and AH perspectives
Qualifications And Education Requirements
A minimum of 8 years of related experience in hospitality industry, ideally in CR Distribution or direct hotel background.
Knowledgeable of hospitality centric technology and systems with strong technical aptitude.
Proven track record of meeting sales quota.
Ability to interpret analytics to highlight actionable data and tell a compelling story around performance and results.
Strong communication skills (business written and verbal) in English and Japanese. Another language is a plus.
Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills delivering complex solutions in an easy to understand manner.
Ability to identify, communicate, and connect with major decision makers both internally and externally.
Ability to lead and direct multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
A fundamental understanding of hospitality technology, revenue management, market data and distribution.
Technical/systems knowledge, including Advanced excel skills, Salesforce CRM, and hospitality CRS or distribution systems (preferred)
Ability to create convincing proposals, documentation and presentations.
Important: This role involves travel to attend team, industry or client functions, and to lead in person meetings with clients; travel will be up to 25% of your time.
