Job Description

The Corporate Development Intern will support the M&A Manager in day-to-day M&A activities, including conducting research, assisting with due diligence, and preparing materials for integration. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions, post-closing objectives management, and lean management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Due Diligence Support

  • Support the M&A Manager in gathering, organizing, and maintaining financial, operational, and legal documents related to potential M&A targets.
  • Assist in the due diligence process by performing preliminary financial and operational analysis, identifying key risks, and summarizing findings for the M&A Manager and senior stakeholders.
  • Help prepare and maintain due diligence checklists, trackers, and data room materials, and monitor progress against agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal functions and external advisors, under the guidance of the M&A Manager, to ensure timely information flow and issue resolution.

Financial Analysis and Modeling

  • Support the M&A Manager in building and updating financial models for potential transactions, including revenue projections, cost structures, and profitability scenarios.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses related to transaction evaluation and post-merger planning.
  • Help conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario modeling to assess potential deal outcomes and key value drivers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, audit, or a related field (internship experience is acceptable).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good understanding of financial concepts and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
