Permits Officer

The Community Relations department helps ensure that the necessary conditions are in place for the execution of works, either by our company on its own new or existing installations, or by third parties in the vicinity of our pipelines.

For the Permits department at our headquarters in Brussels, we are looking for a Permits Officer (m/f/x).

 You are responsible for drafting and delivering permit applications related to the energy transition at both the regional and federal levels in Belgium.

• You will draft new permit applications and monitor ongoing applications with a critical mindset
• You review and assess the documents provided for the application and make an accurate evaluation.
• You draft the required notes (justification note, rainwater regulation, …).
• In consultation with various departments/internal clients, you handle:
• The request for specific components of the permit (urban planning, environment, …).
• The preparation of plans (in accordance with the Infrastructure Standards Book).
• The preparation and submission of a complete plans list, followed by a quality check.

• You hold a relevant bachelor’s degree and preferably have at least 3 years of experience with permits in an industrial environment.
• You can correctly interpret and apply permit regulations (OVD, VCRO, CoDT, environmental legislation, …).
• You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, enabling you to quickly filter relevant information and translate technical input.
• You communicate easily, actively seek out information, and engage in constructive dialogue with internal and external partners
• You are well‑organized, proactive, and solution‑oriented.
• You are Dutch‑ or French‑speaking and have a good command of the other national language.
