Job Overview
In this role, you will absorb the most intricate product lines in our portfolio, managing a high volume of BOMs where precision is critical. You will move beyond simple data entry, using Power Query and Power BI to build the logic that drives our scheduling reports. You will act as the link between the front office and the production floor, spending roughly 20% of your time on-site to validate capacity bottlenecks and ensure that "Full Kits" are available before production begins.
The Master Production Scheduler (MPS) is the architect of production stability for our most complex, high-mix product lines. This role is responsible for transforming volatile demand into a feasible, "Ready-to-Run" schedule. By navigating the transition from legacy SAP 4.7 to S/4HANA Public Cloud, you will ensure that material availability and capacity constraints are balanced to achieve world-class Schedule Adherence.
This position reports to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager, and it is located in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.
Responsibilities
As Master Production Scheduler you will be responsible for:
High-Mix Schedule Management: Own the MPS for high-complexity lines, ensuring flawless alignment between customer demand and production capability.
Capacity & Bottleneck Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve capacity constraints. Maintain a "Full Kit" philosophy—ensuring no order is released without 100% material and resource availability.
System Transition & Logic: Execute daily planning in SAP 4.7 while actively contributing to the migration to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
Data Intelligence: Utilize Power Query to maintain and audit manual scheduling reports. You are expected to "own the logic" behind the data, not just the output.
Parameter Optimization: Use independent intelligence to set and audit system parameters, including safety stocks, firm zones, and lead times for a large SKU portfolio.
Order Acknowledgment: Maintain a 36-hour window for customer order confirmation, identifying and expediting outages to meet Original Acknowledge dates.
Supply Chaing Collaboration: Partner with Planning and Sourcing to ensure flow of materials and identification of short and long term critical short parts.
Floor Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering on the shop floor to resolve escalations and improve Schedule Adherence.
ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS: OmniOn Power will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in Mexico for this opening. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electromechanical, Industrial), Supply Chain, or Administration.
Experience: 3+ years in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Technical English: Intermediate to advanced level for global team coordination.
SAP Proficiency: Strong experience in SAP ECC 4.7 or S/4HANA (specifically MD04, COHV, COOIS, and Material Master maintenance).
Capacity Planning: Ability to perform Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) to manage shop floor bottlenecks.
BOM Management: Deep understanding of multi-level Bills of Materials within an electromechanical manufacturing environment.
Inventory Strategy: Knowledge of ABC/XYZ analysis to independently set safety stocks and reorder points.
Schedule Adherence Tracking: Experience defining and improving KPIs related to plan execution.
Desired Qualifications
Advanced Data Analytics: Expertise in Power Query (M Language) and Excel to automate and audit manual scheduling logic.
Schedule Adherence Tracking: Experience defining and improving KPIs related to plan execution.
Assertive Communication: The confidence to negotiate with both Sales (demand) and Production (supply) to protect the integrity of the schedule.
Adaptability: A "change-agent" mindset necessary for moving from legacy manual processes to cloud-based ERP systems.
Attention to Detail: Precision-oriented approach to managing a large SKU portfolio where small errors can lead to material outages.
