Purpose of the Role

Translate regional portfolio strategy into best-in-class activation plans that deliver commercial growth across Caribbean, Central America and Venezuela by ensuring the right portfolio, proposition, price architecture, activation priorities and execution standards are deployed across channels, customers and markets.

Working closely with Brand Teams, Consumer & Shopper Insights, Shopper Marketing, Commercial,  Finance, RGM and distributor partners, the Portfolio Activator Manager ensures portfolio investments are insight-led, commercially focused and optimized to maximize business growth and return on marketing investment.

Market Context

CCV is a highly diverse and dynamic region comprising 38 countries operating primarily through a distributor-led model. Consumer needs, route-to-market models, channel dynamics and portfolio opportunities vary significantly across markets, requiring activation strategies that balance regional scale with local relevance.

Winning in this environment requires moving beyond individual brand execution to optimize the total portfolio by occasion, channel, customer and consumer segment. Success depends on identifying where each brand plays the strongest role, ensuring best-in-class propositions are activated across all touchpoints and continuously optimizing investments based on business performance, consumer insights and commercial opportunities.

The Portfolio Activator Manager plays a critical role in connecting regional portfolio strategy with local execution, ensuring activation plans maximize portfolio growth, premiumization, market share and profitability across CCV.

Functional & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Translate the regional portfolio growth strategy into annual activation plans, commercial calendars and execution roadmaps that deliver portfolio growth across CCV.

  • Own portfolio activation by identifying opportunities to improve market share, premiumization, recruitment and profitable growth across brands and channels.

  • Develop integrated activation plans that optimize portfolio performance across occasions, customers, channels and consumer segments.

  • Champion consumer, shopper and commercial insights to identify growth opportunities and strengthen activation effectiveness.

  • Partner closely with Global Brand Teams to ensure portfolio activation complements global plans while maximizing commercial performance.

  • Collaborate with Shopper Marketing to develop best-in-class activation toolkits, execution standards and channel-specific programs.

  • Partner with Commercial, Customer Marketing and RGM to optimize assortment, activation priorities, pricing architecture and portfolio deployment across customers and channels.

  • Optimize activation investments by ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-return opportunities, supported by robust measurement and ROI evaluation.

  • Lead portfolio performance reviews, market share, profitability, activation effectiveness and commercial KPIs, recommending corrective actions where required.

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Brand Teams, Commercial, Finance, Consumer & Shopper Insights,  agencies and distributor partners to ensure seamless execution.

  • Leverage data, performance analytics and market intelligence to continuously improve portfolio activation strategies and business performance.

  •  Portfolio performance dashboards and optimization recommendations.

  • Commercial activation calendars aligned with Brand and Commercial priorities.

  • Activation effectiveness reviews and continuous improvement recommendations.

 

 Experience and Required Qualifications

  • ·Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in consumer marketing, portfolio management, shopper marketing or commercial marketing (FMCG/CPG preferred).

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

  • Strong understanding of portfolio management, commercial activation and route-to-market dynamics.

  • Experience developing integrated activation strategies across multiple brands and channels.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience interpreting consumer, shopper and commercial performance data.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Strong project management and execution capabilities.Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills.

  • Commercial mindset with strong financial acumen and ROI orientation.

  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and execution.

  • Willingness to travel across the CCV region.
