Role Overview: The purpose of this role is to win priority Off Trade outlets every day by converting Off Trade strategy into visible, measurable execution with customers and distributors. The role ensures Diageo wins outlet experience through distribution, availability, price competitiveness and activation follow-through, premiumization and brilliant execution.
This role exists to make the Off Trade plan real at the point of influence: the outlet.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Diageo's in-store execution standards, including the Perfect Store framework, Picture of Success (Photo of Success), and the basic sales call process for the Off-Trade channel.
- Design, coordinate, and execute sales activation projects aimed at improving execution quality, visibility, shopper engagement, and sales fundamentals across assigned channels and customers.
- Develop customer and outlet segmentation models to prioritize execution efforts, define differentiated activation strategies, and maximize resource allocation.
- Own the deployment and governance of key sales fundamentals, ensuring consistent execution of distribution, availability, visibility, pricing, shelving, secondary displays, and promotional standards across the market.
- Coordinate the planning, production, allocation, and distribution of POSM and activation materials, ensuring timely deployment and effective execution in line with commercial priorities.
- Monitor suggested retail price (SRP) compliance, execution KPIs, and activation performance, identifying gaps and driving corrective action plans with distributor sales teams.
- Partner closely with distributor sales leadership to build execution capabilities through coaching, training, field accompaniment, execution routines, and performance follow-up.
- Track execution quality through field audits, Perfect Store measurements, and other execution tools, translating insights into continuous improvement initiatives.
- Capture shopper, customer, and competitive insights to identify execution opportunities and recommend enhancements to activation strategies and execution standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Trade Marketing, Commercial Planning, and Supply teams to ensure flawless execution of commercial initiatives at the point of sale.
Required Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in Sales, Sales Activation, Trade Marketing, Field Sales, Sales Operations, or Commercial Execution within the FMCG, beverage, or consumer goods industry.
- Experience supporting the implementation of in-store activation plans, promotional campaigns, or commercial execution initiatives.
- Experience working with distributors and/or indirect sales models within the Off-Trade channel.
- Experience conducting field visits, monitoring execution standards, and identifying improvement opportunities at the point of sale.
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely execution of commercial initiatives and activation projects.
- Experience tracking execution KPIs and supporting follow-up actions to improve field performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commercial Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Off-Trade commercial execution, retail operations, and distributor management.
- Knowledge of sales execution fundamentals, including distribution, visibility, availability, merchandising, pricing, and promotional execution.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities in a dynamic commercial environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret execution data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Proactive, execution-oriented, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with Power BI or sales execution tools is considered an advantage.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
