Job Description
The Inventory Specialist position is within our KOST USA division and is responsible for inventory accuracy for raw materials and supplies on hand at our main Kost facility. This role will work closely with Planning and Operations Supervision to ensure materials are on site and staged for successful packaging operations. This role will assist the Technical Operations Team to ensure our ERP Inventory is accurate for our physical on hand raw materials.
This role will report to our Inventory Control Supervisor in Cincinnati, OH. The hours for this position will consist of 8AM – 4:30PM and will require the candidate to be on-site full-time.
We are looking for a self-motivated, punctual, professional, and organized individual who enjoys detailed work and a fast-paced environment. This position is critical to our operation and is an integral part of the Planning/Operations team.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
Performing the cycle counts daily, tracking adjustments as needed to our ERP.
Understanding the production schedule for each packaging line in the facility to ensure materials are on site and staged for upcoming orders.
Understanding the production schedule for the Blending and Bulk in the facility to ensure materials are on site and staged for upcoming orders.
Assisting in the monthly cycle count of the flush tote area.
Coordinating materials for each production line, to ensure the team is set up for successful product packaging. Ensure we have a Beginning of Run (BOR) count and End of Run (EOR) count of each component that is utilized, and reports summary of results to ensure team understands losses that exceed normal BOM scrap losses.
Maintaining control of FIFO process with materials that have a clear shelf-life expiration to ensure material loss is at a minimum.
Maintaining a tracking system for packaging labels and work closely with the Finance team to forecast possible material loss based on shelf-life, for all labels utilized on site.
Confirming raw material measurements with the Technical Operations Team and ensure our ERP is accurate based on our on-hand inventory.
Investigating and reconciling variances found with raw materials and present findings to Management / Finance for optimal solutions.
Ensuring the Technical & Operations Manager & Plant Manager are signing off on corrective actions taken to prevent ongoing variances.
Reporting on the monthly inventory variances and actions taken to prevent recurrences with the assistance of the Finance Team and Operations Manager.
Maintaining organized material locations for ease of verification and to ensure the correct materials are used for customer orders.
Verifying in coming material quantities and post receipts into ERP.
Coordinating material supply transfers with the Warehouse Team and Planning.
Required Experience:
Previous experience is a plus but not required
Knowledge and capabilities of Inventory software; order processing systems and Microsoft Word and Excel.
