About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Resettlement / Social Development Specialist to support social safeguards and stakeholder engagement activities for a major infrastructure project.’
This opportunity is part of a project currently at the EOI stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of resettlement and social safeguards requirements
- Ensure compliance with IFI social policies and project standards
- Engage with affected communities, including vulnerable and disadvantaged groups
- Support stakeholder coordination with government entities, communities, and CSOs
- Monitor and report on social performance, including gender and inclusion aspects
- Assist in managing and resolving project-related grievances and complaints
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Anthropology, Social Development, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with 3+ years on IFI-funded projects
- Experience in resettlement, social safeguards, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong understanding of gender inclusion and social development practices
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills
