The QA (lab) technician analyzes and monitors the progress and quality of chemical processes at the manufacturing site. This role is also responsible for testing utility water, qualifying incoming raw materials, and evaluating the quality of finished products prior to release for shipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform quality testing for production batches, distillations, and utility water.
- Perform quality testing of raw materials and finished goods.
- Demonstrate the ability to make routine decisions involving quality issues.
- Maintain analytical reagents.
- Ensure that QA tests are conducted using approved QA methods.
- Ensure that QA results are properly recorded.
- Ensure that laboratory safety guidelines are followed.
- Ensure that chemicals are properly labeled and stored.
- Maintain a working knowledge of hazards and proper handling procedures for instruments, materials, solvents, and chemicals used in the laboratory.
- Weigh tank trucks, inspect certificates of analysis (C of A), complete paperwork, and report to corresponding departments.
- Receive and document laboratory samples from customers.
- Keep the supervisor informed of work status.
- Ensure that the QA laboratory area is kept clean.
Qualifications:
• BA or BS in science preferred, AA/AS minimum required or equivalent experience. Chemistry background a plus
• Experience with MS Office Suite: Excel, Word-required
• Experience working with chemicals, required

The expected compensation range for this position is between $52,740.00 and $77,352.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
