About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Communications, the Corporate Communications Channels Specialist is primarily responsible for the creation and distribution of internal and external communications to team members, customers and other external stakeholders. They are also responsible for creating and maintaining suitable contact databases and producing analytics that report on channel performance.
This person develops positive, collaborative relationships with functional leaders and SMEs as well as the rest of the Corporate Communications team to develop and deliver communications and improve channels in order to support business priorities and objectives.
What you will do
Be an expert resource for the Corporate Communications team on the key channels used to create and distribute communications: ChangeEngine (external SAAS comms platform) and Navigator (internal SharePoint) – supporting colleagues in processing updates and suggesting improvements
Plan, write, edit and deliver impactful content that supports agreed business priorities and objectives and which is delivered through approved channels both internally and externally
Ability to utilize Company-issued and approved Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support productivity, efficiency, and quality of work, while maintaining accountability for all AI-generated outputs.
Ensure that customer and site communications are sent as per agreed timetable and reflect commitment to flawless execution regarding accuracy, relevance and audience.
Maintain and own contact databases to ensure that information remains accurate – accessing internal systems as needed to pull contact information and ensure that any updates are flowed through to central database
Manage communications calendar for internal and external (customer and site) comms
Provide regular analytic reports to measure effectiveness of communications – making recommendations based on results
Decision Making and Influence
Apply knowledge and experience to advise Corporate Communications colleagues and other stakeholders on communication approaches and best practice. Advise colleagues on lead times required to support comms distribution timelines and prioritization requirements.
Apply critical thinking skills to provide logical and informed recommendations to the business.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (ideally in Communications, Journalism or Marketing) or equivalent work-related experience
Minimum of three years working in a corporate communications or marketing communications role with experience of delivering communications programs
Experience owning/managing CRM and contact database to ensure that audience details are accurate and up to date
Experience of supporting senior and SME stakeholders – demonstrate an ability to influence and challenge in order to deliver beneficial outcomes. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint and external marketing CRM/comms delivery platforms
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. Great time-management, decision making and organizational skills also essential
Team oriented person with a “can do” attitude and excellent relationship-building skills
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work to shifting deadlines with urgency and pace

Desired Qualifications
Experience of working across multiple time zones and geographies in a highly matrixed organization is highly desirable along with experience of being part of a virtual team
Knowledge of GDPR and data protection
