The 'Should'-Cost Analyst will provide manufacturing technical support to purchased materials and finished parts to assist in meeting cost goals, delivery requirements and contractual requirements for both military and commercial programs, domestic and foreign. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Generate and provide estimates of manufacturing costs.
- Direct technical support and engineering liaison, where supplementation of Buyer/Contract Administrator skills will affect improvements in quality, price, and delivery.
- Use discretion and independent judgment in such areas as hardware manufacturability/producibility by reviewing sign off of hardware drawings as well as such other areas as parts manufacturing operations, and estimated cost for raw material and labor.
- The “should cost” experts for the business. This function relates directly to the management and general business operations of the client by ensuring products are not only producible but also delivered on time at reasonable cost.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing, machining, or cost estimation will be considered.
- Familiarity in the use of close tolerance gages as well as exposure to the welding, machining and fabrication of aerospace hardware is also a plus.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and manufacturing processes.
- Analytical mindset.
- Advanced Excel.
- Role is hybrid – 3 days per week in office.
