Brief Position Description

The person will primarily be responsible for safely and professionally picking up and delivering products to customers within a 100-mile radius. This also loading, chaining, and strapping equipment, operating forklifts on and off trailers, as well as performing pre and post trip inspections.

• Compensation: $24 - $30 / hour

Responsibilities

• Delivery radius of 100 miles, no overnights 
• Pick up and deliver product to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner. 
• Load, Chain, and Strap all items to include unloading at customer drop off 
• Operate forklifts onto and off trailers 
• Provide excellent customer service. 
• Maintain Bill of Lading with each shipment. 
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip inspections. 
• Complete daily maintenance report and notify supervisor of any needed repairs. 
• Report all accidents, traffic violations, and damage to vehicles. 
• Communicate as needed with vendors any necessary changes and logistics to ensure proper delivery of equipment and services, 
• Ability to comply with safety cameras being in the vehicle 
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner 
• Additional duties as assigned, including but not limited to warehouse and dock duties 

Education, Experience, and Certifications

• High school or GED equivalent required 
• Class A CDL required 
• Must pass a background check and DOT physical and drug screen 
• Must meet DOT and Company requirements 
• One year experience with Dove Trailer and manual transmission 
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs 
• Computer proficiency required 
• Adherence to all safety precautions and policies 
• Positive team player 
• Excellent communication skills between customers and internal teams
