TRAUMA COORDINATOR (12036)

Job Summary:

• Assist director with daily management of specified unit to include interview and hiring process, disciplinary process, monthly operational reports and PMPs. Assume direct responsibility for employee orientation and staff development.
• Integrate clinical concepts and knowledge relevant to leadership and teaching to effect improvements in unit-based nursing orientation and retention in the nursing units.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate the unit-based clinical orientation of novice to expert nurses to assure quality outcomes.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate and serve as mentor to nurses in nursing units, assuring ongoing support and improve patient safety and quality.
• Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
• Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.

Education:

BSN required. MSN/CNS preferred.

Experience:

3 years of clinical experience in an emergency room setting with direct patient care.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

ACLS, PALS-instructor level of each required with 1 year of employment. TNCC instructor desired.
