What We Need:

As a visionary, creative, self-directed leader, you will lead an inter-professional team by supporting and overseeing the day-to-day operations including quality management, utilization, financial and human resources management as well as staff education and practice enhancement. You will serve as a role model in the strategic planning, program development and maintenance of an organizational culture that ensures support and commitment to the vision, mission and goals of the programs and the organization.

In collaboration with Discipline Leads and Professional Practice Leader, you will provide leadership to healthcare teams by supporting and overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Allied Health and Respiratory Therapy Services.

You will also be responsible for a broad range of management functions that support organizational structure and process standards, including the development and implementation of strategic roadmaps, policies, and procedures; achievement of operational goals; leadership of both large- and small-scale initiatives; and the promotion of safe, high-quality care while ensuring compliance with legislative and professional standards.

In addition, you will develop and manage budgets to support these dynamic programs and create human resource plans that address both current and future program needs. The successful candidate will support corporate strategies and promote standardization across all areas of responsibility.

As an interprofessional leader with strong clinical leadership and critical thinking skills, you will successfully lead interdisciplinary healthcare teams by overseeing day-to-day operations, including staff education, practice enhancement, continuous quality improvement, utilization management, financial oversight, and human resource management.

 

What you bring to the role:

·         Registration in good standing with a relevant Regulatory College within a Regulated Health Profession

·         Baccalaureate degree required; Master’s degree preferred or in progress

·         Minimum of 5 years of recent clinical experience in relevant clinical field in acute care settings

·         Minimum of 3-5 years of recent clinical management experience

·         Demonstrated evidence of innovative leadership and critical thinking

·         Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives and advancing continuous quality improvement activities

·         Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organization and collaborative skills

·         Exceptional problem-solving skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

·         Excellent human resources, financial and information management skills

·         Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet, e-mail, etc.

·         Evidence of ongoing professional development

·         Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and support effective team building and functioning

·         Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards

·         Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

 

Work Schedule:

 

Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30 hours, however flexibility in start and end times required in accordance with job demands

Compensation:

C - PCM

Range:

$63.38 - $79.27
