Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and/or repair plant equipment such as machinery, power tools, forklifts, and factory vehicles as required or directed.
- Maintain and/or repair facility equipment, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems as required or directed.
- Perform minor plant construction and/or renovation of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems as directed.
- Move and/or set up furniture or facility equipment as assigned.
- Maintain or repair building structures by patching, cleaning or painting as required or directed.
- Perform building and grounds clean-up, such as trash removal and snow/ice removal as required.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.
- Schedule and assign preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns and facility issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Respond to and resolve facility-related issues and emergencies.
- Train staff on safety procedures and proper equipment use.
