BINDERY MACHINE OPERATOR
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Bindery Machine Operator is responsible for operating folder/cutter equipment, maintaining quality standards, trouble-shooting equipment issues, and upholding production requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to work well with co-workers in team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Examine job tickets to determine job specific instructions.
- Perform job set ups on MBO folding equipment; roll unwinder or sheet fed
- Ability to setup/operate counter, glue systems and job specific folds.
- Possess mechanical and trouble shooting skills.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
- Straight Knife Cutter operator
- Overtime may be required.
- Must be physically capable of working long hours, standing, and/or walking.
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Mechanical skills to set up and operator MBO Folding Equipment (Roll to fold)
- Basic Math Skills, including ability to read a ruler.
- High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of bindery experience.
