Qnity R&D is seeking a skilled and motivated scientist with proven experience in CMP slurry formulation to join our R&D Center at the Korea Technology Center (KTC) in Hwaseong, Korea. As the Advanced Cleans and Slurry Technology (ACST) business accelerates slurry growth in Korea, this role will focus on developing advanced slurry solutions for semiconductor applications. The position requires strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and close collaboration with key Korean customers.
The scientist will support slurry product development by performing experiments and collaborating with global Slurry R&D teams. As the Slurry R&D footprint continues to expand in Korea, this role will also involve laboratory setup to establish and enhance experimental capabilities.
This position requires a strong chemistry background, innovative thinking, hands-on experimental skills, and openness to global cross-functional collaboration. Scientists who enjoy solving technical challenges and working in a global environment will thrive in this role.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, formulation, and performance optimization of CMP slurry products for semiconductor applications (e.g., oxide, metal, and barrier CMP).
Design and conduct experiments and perform material characterization using analytical tools (e.g., particle size analysis, zeta potential, SEM).
Analyze, summarize, and interpret experimental data to support product development.
Collaborate with global R&D, application engineering, and manufacturing teams to drive product development from concept through commercialization.
Prepare high-quality technical documentation and presentations for internal discussions and customer engagement.
Participate in regular technical meetings with global colleagues in English.
