Assistant to Students - Plano Campus

Provides administrative support to the Student Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church – Plano Campus (“PBC-PC”).

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative assistance, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and greeting students and guests in person and over the phone
• Understand fully the PBC church programming software to enter events and details
• Submit check requests, purchase orders, contract requests and other financial related items and ensure compliance with PBC policies
• Respond to requests and inquiries from students, staff, LifeGroup leaders, and parents
• Assist with monitoring budget, tracking invoices, researching prices and securing vendors for projects and events
• Manage event registrations and provide recruitment updates
• Provide administrative support for event planning and organization
• Assist with the planning and execution of Guys and Girls events, including Freedom Weekend
• Manage and maintain texting communication for Students in accordance with PBC policies
• Coordinate with appropriate staff for the purpose of organizing ministry events
• Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC-PC
• Some college, college degree preferred
• Prior experience in an administrative role preferred
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, and Canva
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Team player
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to work a Monday – Friday schedule with flexibility for occasional Sundays and PBC events
• Able to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time and to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs and be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance
