Specialist, Treasury
Job Description
This position is responsible mainly on daily / weekly Treasury functions with connected banks, monitoring unreconciled cash out flow & inflow items and resolved timely with respective stakeholders.
Support Treasury manager on fund projecting and other treasury activities, such as AP monitoring.
Position Responsibilities:
Handle premium refunds, claims, and campaign payouts with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness
Administer departmental advances and credit card clearances in line with internal controls and policies
Support weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring completeness and prompt resolution of variances
Perform treasury-related balance sheet accounts reconciliations, including Cadency premium reconciliation, with high attention to detail
Oversee cash ledger activities, fund transfers, and banking transactions to ensure proper tracking and accuracy
Prepare and deliver reports (bank balances, AP outstanding, vendor payments) within established timelines
Manage bond purchase and interest processing, ensuring proper documentation and compliance requirements are met
Liaise effectively with banks and internal stakeholders to support treasury operations and resolve queries
Support daily treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring and liquidity management, to maintain operational efficiency
Required Qualifications:
Education & Qualification
Possess at least a bachelor’s degree preferable in finance/ accounting or professional qualification (LCCI or passed some ACCA/CPA papers)
Experience
At least 2 years of relevant working experience in treasury and accounting. Candidates with experience in banking or insurance companies will be of added advantage.
Basic knowledge in accounting and operational systems
Computer Proficiency/ Competencies Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word is required.
