Job Summary

Location: Detroit, MI

This position is responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data related to Human Resources functional areas including recruiting, compensation and benefits, performance management and generates a variety of reports utilizing SAP and Success Factors. Reporting to a Director, the employee exercises a high level of independent discretion and judgment within established policies, procedures, and practices. Results are reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to policies, procedures, and practices.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develops and implements programs to measure, improve and reward employee performance
  • Creates, updates, and maintains all employee and contractor movement and related structure within SAP and Success Factors
  • Serves as system administrator for Success Factors
  • Designs, plans, and implements compensation programs, policies, and procedures to enhance the organization's ability to recruit and retain employees
  • Administers company compensation programs; evaluates and analyzes salary data, determines pay grades, manages annual compensation process, and conducts or participates in compensation surveys
  • Conducts job evaluations to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; establishes complete job descriptions and ensures accuracy of job codes in SAP
  • Works on special projects on an as needed basis
  • Process monthly Benefits Reports (e.g., AIP, BAR, LAR, and VAR)
  • Maintain weekly metrics for CI Huddles and other related CI projects
  • Manages the e-Verify program and ensures I-9 compliance
  • Develops and monitors HR budget with HR Director
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in human resources, business, or related field
  • At least five years’ experience in Human Resources

Other Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of general human resources management, recruitment, selection, compensation, training, and employee relations
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations and professional best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite human resources information systems (SAP experience preferred), and internet-based services and applications
  • Ability to efficiently handle competing priorities and tasks, remain organized and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, and management
  • Ability to gather and analyze data, prepare reports, and make recommendations
  • Ability to establish goals, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to function within a matrix organization in which functional and business leaders have equal authority within the organization and employees report to both a functional leader and a business leader
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with both a functional and business leader, who collaborate on employee issues and decisions (including performance management, compensation, and development)

  • Vision requirements for this position include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

 

The employee performs job duties primarily in a work from home capacity and periodically from a climate-controlled office environment, with a moderate noise level.
