Automation & Controls Technician

Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00 / hour
Description
Responsibilities
- Install and modify industrial controls hardware in accordance with NFPA 70 and NFPA 7
- Wire and rework control panels following UL 508A practices and company standards
- Assist with maintaining the electrical shop, tools, consumables, and controls hardware inventory
- Configure and set up industrial controls hardware
- Support troubleshooting of electrical and controls-related issues on machines and test equipment
- Review electrical drawings and mark up redlines as needed
- Provide practical build and wiring feedback to engineering teams
- Use EPlan to view schematics, generate reports, and support manufacturing documentation
- Document work performed and update assigned tasks or work orders
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of work in a relevant field (manufacturing/test/R&D)
- 3+ years working on electrical control systems
- 1+ years working on pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
- Demonstrated high attention to detail
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with EPlan/EView
- Experience working on systems up to 480 VAC
- Electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment and/or test environment

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
