What You Will Be Doing
- Develop MES and system integration solutions for various clients
- High level language programming for a variety of applications, including Python, Java, and more.
- Design and program databases, including stored procedures and reporting in platforms such as SQL
- Design and program custom industrial applications, web based applications, and software using platforms including Ignition
- Design intuitive, easy-to-navigate, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces
- Provide on-site system commissioning support as needed
- Maintain a project focus, utilizing scrum/agile methodologies to create valuable increments, understand project scope and user perspective, and break deliverables down into user stories and tasks; while providing accurate time estimates for work
- Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders
What You Need for this Position
- BS in computer science, math, electrical, mechanical, chemical or related engineering field or relevant experience
- 3-7 years of experience in software engineering and development, ideally in an industrial environment
- Experience with Ignition
- Understand at least two of the following: C#, C++, Java, Python and be a subject matter expert in at least one
- Proficiency in the design/architecture and programming of SQL databases
- Proficiency in web-based development and systems programming
- Ability to quickly understand complex applications
- Knowledge of and ability to apply industry standard software design practices and programming methodologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
