Metallurgical Laboratory Technician

Main Responsibilities : Perform daily laboratory analyses on process samples (precipitations, titrations, particle size distributions), strictly following established procedures. Examples: hourly pH and cyanide measurements of leaching tanks, pulp density checks using a Marcy scale; Manage samples and laboratory equipment: reception, drying, grinding, calibration, and maintenance of instruments (pH meters, cyanide analyzers, precision balances, etc.); Implement internal quality control (QA/QC) in the laboratory through duplicate analyses, use of blanks and reference samples, and maintenance of a discrepancy log. Report any anomalies or critical results to the engineers; Support metallurgical testing and reporting: assist with test execution (bottle roll cyanidation, specific sieving), enter analytical data, and contribute to the drafting of daily metallurgical lab reports.
