Job Description
As the Mineralogical Characterization Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing activities related to the analysis of mineral materials. You will oversee a team of technicians and laboratory assistants and ensure the adoption and implementation of cutting-edge technologies in mineralogical characterization processes. You will play a key role in optimizing methods and integrating new tools to ensure excellence and innovation within the laboratory. Your main responsibilities will include: Supervising a team of technicians and laboratory assistants to ensure the efficiency and quality of mineralogical analyses; Managing the use and maintenance of state-of-the-art equipment, such as X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and petrographic equipment for the preparation of thin sections and polished sections; Utilizing automated mineralogy systems, particularly Zeiss Automated Mineralogy, for in-depth sample analyses and technical report writing; Developing new methods and analysis protocols based on specific client needs; Providing technical support to internal teams and external clients regarding mineralogical characterization; Preparing analysis reports and interpreting results, offering technical recommendations on mineral properties and exploitation methods; Conducting technology monitoring to stay updated on advances in the field and integrating the latest technologies into characterization processes.
