Empire Homes is seeking a Warranty Coordinator to support our High-Rise Division. Reporting to the Director, Warranty, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day post-occupancy warranty operations to support the delivery and maintenance of a high-quality rental product.
This role is located in Etobicoke, ON. This posting is for a 6-month contract position. The expected annual salary range for this role in $58,000 - $70,000 annually, prorated for the 6-month contract term.

What We Are Looking For:
College Diploma or University Degree in related field considered an asset.
Knowledge of Tarion CPG and general construction practices.
WHMIS and Working at Heights Training.
Bridgit and Newstar experience preferred but not required.
3+ years of progressive experience in high-volume high-rise construction industry.
Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day
Prepare and assist in the creation of checkout templates for the purposes of Occupancy preparation by service technicians.
Monitor and work directly with trades, and Director, Warranty to ensure the timely completion of deficiencies for Occupancy.
Conduct occupancy/closing walks the day of closing and record final checkout and document unit with time/date stamped photographs.
Ensure all unit doors and keys are operational prior to release.
Commitment to achieving 100% unit completion for Occupancy and minimal submissions post turnover to the rental division.
Maintain and update entire deficiency database for all closing items entered and completed.
Assist with distribution of trade lists as often as required to ensure timely completion and follow up.
Communicate with cleaning contractor and maintain ongoing schedule of occupancy cleans to be communicated to site team and trades on a weekly basis.
Ensure that all units ready and cleaned for occupancy have notices placed on doors and pins are dropped/pulled.
Coordinate any changing occupancy dates and any last minute accommodations are made.
Attend unit reviews as required with team members and trade partners during warranty period to aid with completion of challenging or multistage repairs.
Various administrative duties as required.
