UHP serves veterans, transitioning service members, and purpose-driven individuals through immersive programs that integrate human performance, leadership, wellness, vocational skills, and personal growth.

Our environment is fast-moving, mission-driven, and deeply experiential. We are not a traditional university, gym, military program, or trade school — we are building a scalable human development institution designed for the future workforce.

Director of Electrical School

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Founding Director of Electrical School—a builder who will design, launch, and scale a modern electrical training program from the ground up.

You will own the full lifecycle:

  • Program creation

  • Industry alignment

  • Long-term growth and scalability

This role is about more than running a program—it’s about building a national model for electrical workforce development.

Key Responsibilities

Build the Program

  • Design and launch a comprehensive electrical training program from inception through execution

  • Define learning outcomes, certifications, and performance standards

  • Build a scalable model that can expand across campuses

Lead & Develop People

  • Establish instructional standards, evaluation processes, and a culture of excellence

  • Create an environment focused on professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement

Design Modern Training

  • Develop curriculum aligned with NEC standards and industry best practices

  • Integrate hands-on learning with simulation, VR/AR, and AI-supported instruction

  • Build immersive training environments that replicate real-world job sites

Drive Innovation

  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies in trade education

  • Partner with internal teams and external providers to enhance learning outcomes

  • Help position Ignite America as a leader in modern workforce development

Own Operations

  • Manage program budgets, equipment, labs, and facilities

  • Oversee scheduling, compliance, and safety standards

  • Ensure program quality, accreditation, and credential alignment

Build Industry Partnerships

  • Develop relationships with contractors, utilities, and employers

  • Align training with workforce demand and hiring pipelines

  • Support apprenticeship pathways and job placement outcomes

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Master Electrician license OR equivalent senior leadership experience in electrical workforce training, apprenticeship programs, or technical education

  • 10+ years in the electrical industry

  • Proven leadership experience in training, workforce development, or program management

  • Deep understanding of NEC codes, safety standards, and industry practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCCER Certified Instructor or experience with NCCER-aligned programs

  • Experience building or scaling training or apprenticeship programs

  • Background leading teams of instructors or technical trainers

  • Exposure to simulation, VR/AR, or digital learning platforms in training environments

  • Passion for innovating how skilled trades are taught and developed

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Schedule: Flexible schedule based on program delivery and campus operational needs, including varying days and hours, occasional evenings and weekends, and support of immersive student experiences.

  • Work Environment: Fully onsite at 25200 Ranch Road, Gentry, AR 72734 in a dynamic and immersive environment supporting classroom instruction, hands-on electrical training labs, shop environments, student engagement, and broader campus operations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package

  • 401(k)

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Paid time off

  • Professional development support

  • Access to UHP performance and recovery facilities

  • Contribute to a mission larger than yourself

  • Help shape and build new systems and programs

  • Work alongside passionate and purpose-driven people
