The Retention Coach serves within the Ministry by ensuring employment retention through supporting, advising, and reinforcing key training lessons to the client building solutions to any barriers
Full Time Role
Flexibility with schedule
Core Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, with flexibility for earlier, later and on weekends
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Maintains relationship/communication with employed clients, conducting bi-monthly one-on-one meetings to assess and address any needs

Encourages and motivates employed clients to reach their personal and professional goals

Builds trust and works with clients to reach their goals

Utilizes outreach tactics and retention incentives to ensure clients remain engaged after moving out of Atlanta Mission

Assists clients with non-work-related issues by talking through issues and referring clients to available resources

Holds responsibility for the job retention of clients for at least 1 year

Maintains internal processing database to document work activity, client progress and communications on all clients

Facilitates vocational classes pertaining to retention, as assigned

Documents clients sessions in Salesforce in a timely manner

Collaborates with transitional housing managers to ensure client progress and program compliance to maintain residence

Engages with Next Steps team in weekly meetings, special events and team activities

Position Requirements:

Experience working with economically disadvantaged adult populations, ideally in a coaching capacity

Knowledge of how to refer clients to resources: financial, counseling, food banks, housing
-
Strong project management skills and the ability to organize, multitask and prioritize a heavy workload to ensure client’s needs are met in a timely manner

Ability to work with minimal supervision
-
Ability to have flexible, unconventional hours to meet clients where they are and accommodate work schedules

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization, preferred
-
High energy and ability to engage others towards a common goal
-
Strong work ethic and business acumen with ability to excel in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

Skilled in personal coaching on a one-on-one and group setting

Analytical thinker adept in systems and processes

Demonstrated work history of resourcefulness and problem solving

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting and/or walking)

Must have the ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment

Must be able to communicate accurate information

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 35lbs
Environmental Job Requirements:

Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions during events

Moderate noise as in a business office environment
Special Job Requirements:
-
Travel to various locations in the city and to clients’ work locations, as needed

Must have a valid GA driver’s license
-
Access to a daily vehicle is preferred
