Overview Of The Role:
- The Electrical Technician is responsible for setting up, installing, and maintaining electrical infrastructure. This role requires adherence to strict safety standards and involves performing tasks as per approved drawings. The technician is expected to execute a variety of tasks including installation, maintenance, and ensuring the quality of electrical work. They must also support compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental protocols. Success in this role involves effectively managing materials to avoid wastage and protecting both completed and ongoing work from damage. Collaboration with co-workers to maintain high productivity levels and promptly addressing QHSE incidents are also key responsibilities. The role reports to a Supervisor and functions under predefined procedures and guidelines, focusing on practical problem-solving within the immediate work area.
What You Will Do:
General
- Carry out electrical installation as per approved drawings.
- Follow correct installation practices, standards, and safety measures.
- Undertake a variety of power, lighting works, glanding & termination, DB dressing, instrumentation, control, and electronic works.
- Ensure correct consumption of materials to avoid wastage.
- Protect the completed works as well as ongoing works to avoid damages.
- Maintain superior level of discipline at work following safe working practices.
- Encourage co-workers to ensure high productivity.
- Adhere to appropriate QHSE and asset management system while working.
- Report all QHSE and asset management incidents immediately and take necessary precautions.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Proficiency in electrical installation and maintenance techniques.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and practices in electrical engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within team-oriented environments.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Diploma/Graduate/ITI Trade Holder in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and building services.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with building services, power, lighting, testing, and commissioning.
