Pay: $50.85/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Position Overview: In this role, you will assist with overseeing the daily healthcare operations of the detention facility while supporting medical staff, healthcare compliance activities, administrative coordination, and resident healthcare services. You will work closely with the Health Services Administrator, medical providers, nursing personnel, behavioral health staff, and detention leadership to ensure healthcare operations are organized, efficient, and compliant with government detention standards, healthcare regulations, and facility policies. This position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, leadership abilities, and the ability to manage healthcare administrative functions within a secure detention environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with coordinating daily healthcare operations, medical scheduling, staffing support, and administrative activities within the detention facility.
- Support medical personnel with healthcare documentation, operational reporting, compliance tracking, and resident healthcare coordination activities.
- Monitor healthcare operations to ensure compliance with government detention standards, HIPAA requirements, infection prevention procedures, and healthcare regulations.
- Review medical reports, staffing records, healthcare documentation, and operational summaries for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate resident medical appointments, outside referrals, transportation arrangements, and specialty healthcare services as required.
- Assist with maintaining medical supply inventories, pharmaceutical accountability records, and healthcare equipment tracking documentation.
- Support audits, inspections, accreditation reviews, and compliance assessments related to healthcare operations and resident medical services.
- Coordinate communication between healthcare staff, detention personnel, transportation teams, outside providers, and facility leadership regarding resident healthcare needs.
- Assist with training coordination, policy implementation, and operational procedures related to healthcare services and administrative functions.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and effective communication while supporting safe, efficient, and compliant healthcare operations within the detention facility.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field of study (Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration preferred).
- Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience.
- Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of management of programs and services experience.
- Must possess and maintain current CPR/BLS certification.
- Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization.
- If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition.
- Must consent to fingerprinting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security screening.
- Ability to pass a preemployment medical assessment and drug screening.
- Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
