POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY
To achieve overall MA Niaga retail revenue and optimize operating expenses by strategically managing retail operations and end-to-end distribution logistics. This role ensures a seamless supply chain flow, robust warehouse management, and efficient inventory distribution across all airport outlets.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Sales & Revenue Optimization
- Increase revenue and maximize profitability while reducing costs through well-managed operational and logistical controls, utilizing a clear understanding of the processes that deliver revenue.
- Drive sales and retail improvements through data analysis
- Ongoing review of sales results versus budget and target, ensuring inventory replenishment aligns with high-traffic airport seasons.
Inventory & Distribution Logistics
- Supply Chain & Distribution Management: Oversee the logistics network ensuring the efficient, timely, and secure movement of merchandise from central/bonded warehouses to airport retail outlets.
- Inventory Control: Administer and direct the execution of inventory controls and warehouse management systems (WMS); effectively execute remedial actions to minimize variances, damages, and transit losses.
- Stock Optimization: Maintain optimum stock levels across all outlets by forecasting demand and managing replenishment schedules, preventing both stock-outs of high-demand items and overstocking in limited airport storage spaces.
- Vendor & Logistics Compliance: Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, distributors, and custom brokers to streamline receiving processes, customs clearance, and compliance with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) security protocols.
Retail & Logistics Operations
- Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing retail operational policies, distribution SOPs, and delivery bay protocols.
- Implement and maintain retail operational policies and procedures to incorporate a sales plan, cost control, shrinkage management during transit/storage, audit compliance, and people management.
- Contributes to future business development at both strategic and operational levels.
- Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates key responsibilities and practices to the outlet and logistics management teams to ensure a smooth flow of retail operations.
Staffing & Talent Management
- Effectively recommend, direct, coordinate, and evaluate manpower requirements, responsibility, discipline, and motivation across front-line and back-of-house logistics teams.
- Develop a team of dynamic sales and operational support personnel who are customer-oriented and efficiency-driven to achieve targeted revenue and retain customer loyalty.
Customer & Stakeholder Relations (Internal/External)
- Achieve retail and distribution objectives through frequent and consistent interactions with Clients, Customers, Logistics Partners, Airport Authorities (MAHB), Customs, and Key Company personnel.

Relevant Industries
Degree holder with minimum CGPA 3.0 with minimum 7 years relevant experience preferably in Retail Duty Free business or related industry in Management role.
Education
Degree in Business Studies/Administration/ Management or related
