Reporting to the Energy and Infrastructure Supervisor, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment. 

 

  • Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems across mining camps and facilities; 

  • Read plans, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, waste, and drainage systems; 

  • Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems; 

  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors; 

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems and other devices; 

  • Assist with site dewatering and pigging operations. 

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Plumber Certification or equivalent; 

  • 4000 hours of experience as a plumber; 

  • Mechanical and mathematical abilities; 

  • Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and complex instructions; 

  • Valid Driver’s License or equivalent; 

  • Experience fusing HDPE piping is considered an asset. 

 

Note that the official working language at Hope Bay is English. 

 

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 21 days of work, followed by 21 days for transportation and rest; 

  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
