Job Purpose
Streamlining manufacturing for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality assurance.Develop and enhance processes and systems aimed at improving departmental performance, reducing manufacturing costs, promoting sustainability, and implementing industry best practices.
Key Accountability Areas
Production Development & Improvement:
- Develop and maintain process routing, factory layouts, and workstation designs.
- Implement and optimize manufacturing processes and work methods.
- Prepare Machine Specification and Requirement (MSP) reports; evaluate suppliers and provide recommendations to management.
- Coordinate machine installation and ensure complete handover to production.
- Establish and maintain Work Instructions for production teams.
- Identify required tools, fixtures, and define process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure qualification of special processes.
QHSE Management:
- Implement Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures and ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, environmental impact analysis, and ensure operational controls are in place.
- Support emergency preparedness and participate in drills.
- Deliver QHSE training and promote awareness among team members.
- Ensure equipment certifications and compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor and report QHSE KPIs and maintain documentation.
- Encourage employee involvement in safety programs (HIRA, HIP) and enforce 5S practices.
- Collaborate with safety personnel and ensure continuous improvement of site QHSE performance.
QHSE Authority:
- Authorized to issue a "Stop Work Order" when safety is compromised.
- Empowered to halt non-conforming activities and enforce corrective actions.
- Approve QHSE-related records and ensure documentation accuracy.
Role Accountability
HR Proficiency:
- Training of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
- Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
- Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates.
Delivery:
- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving:
- Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Quality:
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
Business Process Improvements:
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Safety:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
