Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and implementation in manufacturing environments. Familiarity with automotive industry standards is a plus. Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English Technical understanding Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Responsibilities Responsible for the technical aspect of international tool procurement including clarification feasibility issues together with development teams with regards to dies and molds. Member of industrialization team Preliminary costing for quotation of tooling costs Feasibility of plastic parts from tool view Determination of appropriate manufacturing-/ tooling-concepts Consulting of mechanical development in terms of technical feasibility Create tool specifications for inquiry activities Check tool designs and -structures on accuracy Provide construction permit to tool suppliers Tracking detailed timeline for tool-making and -optimization Prepare sampling for tool vendors (documents, materials) Check samples, together with development Define, communicate and track changes and improvements in tools Removal of tools on site at the tool supplier
